The DELE (Diploma de Español como Lengua Extranjera) is the official qualification certifying proficiency levels in the Spanish language. DELE is the only officially recognized foreign language certificate in Spain and Spanish-Speaking countries. It is also worldwide acknowledged by public and private institutions and educational systems, commerce chambers and private companies.
The diploma is subdivided into six levels, according to a certain proficiency as described by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages:
DELE diplomas are certified by Cervantes Institute on behalf of the Spanish Ministry of Education.
